General Description:
The primary purpose of the respiratory therapy equipment technician is equipment setup, and local supply management under the direction and supervision of a Respiratory Care Professional (RCP). Will assist in the general cleanliness and neatness of the RT supply areas.
Essential Responsibilities:

- Sets up, calibrates, and troubleshoots ventilators and 02 delivery devices. Assists in the cleaning and processing of equipment.
- Cleans and processes respiratory equipment intended for multi-patient use as guided by the current hospital infection control policies and standards.
- Maintains equipment PAR levels in the respiratory equipment rooms.
- Straightens up clean and dirty utility rooms including inside cabinetry.
- Assists respiratory therapists with equipment and supply needs.
General Responsibilities:
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience: 0-3 years of experience required.
License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: None required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Effective communication skills including the ability to read and write.
- Effective interpersonal skills required in interactions with patients and parents, visitors, and hospital staff.
- Ability to work under general supervision.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to learn and follow infection prevention procedures
