The EHR Solutions Testing Architect is a subject matter expert who will design and lead the testing, quality, and release management activities for the OU Health ETS (Enterprise Technology Solutions) Department. The individual in this role will lead key vendors, application teams, infrastructure teams, and project/product managers to develop and carry out test plans for a variety of clinical and business applications including but not limited to implementations, optimizations, system upgrades, and pre- and post-patching. The EHR Solutions Testing Architect III will define OU Health ETS testing strategy, develop and mature the OU Health testing methodologies, including identifying and implementing automation tools to improve operational efficiencies. This person will lead a regular review of processes for script development, defect tracking, logistics and resources for all testing efforts and perform general project management of testing activities.
Essential Responsibilities

Developing overarching testing strategies and frameworks aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.
Providing leadership and mentorship to testing teams and testing leads, guiding them in the execution of testing activities and fostering their professional development.
Develops and evaluates testing performance and quality assurance metrics to drive quality improvement of ETS products
Identifying opportunities for process improvement within testing practices, tools, and methodologies, and driving initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Engaging with key stakeholders, including project managers, business analysts, and development teams, to ensure alignment of testing activities with project objectives and priorities.
Assessing and mitigating testing-related risks, including those related to resource constraints, schedule pressures, and quality assurance issues, to ensure successful project outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree required
Experience Requirements: 5 or more years of QA/Testing experience required including at least 3 years of experience in leading testing efforts for Epic is required. Previous experience in software quality assurance required. At least 2 years of experience writing or executing automated test cases required.
License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required:
Epic Certification in any module required upon hire
Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
ITIL preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:
Expert understanding of quality assurance techniques, frameworks and methodologies.
Proficiency with automation tools.
Strong Understanding of business/finance needs and can apply business value to test efforts
Excellent leadership skills with ability to bring diverse personalities together, have a take-charge attitude, work collaboratively and execute rapidly
Excellent organizational, written and verbal presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to work closely with vendors on defect tracking and release management.
Capacity to manage multiple competing objectives, meet project deadlines and clearly communicate results
Strong relationship management skills. Ability to work with ETS and end users and all levels of management
Ability to provide leadership, vision and promote a culture of excellence and innovation.
Expert level knowledge of application functionality in a healthcare environment
Excellent analytical, organization, and oral communication skills.
Ability to work independently and within teams.
Ability to solve the most complex problems and understand customer needs.
Strong understanding of healthcare process and technology.
