In this role, you'll partner with Payroll and Finance stakeholders to streamline processes, troubleshoot system issues, and ensure data integrity. Your tasks will include configuring Workday business processes, developing training materials, auditing data, and supporting integrations with third-party products. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential.

General Description:
Primary focus in providing Workday payroll and timecard functional support in OU Health systems. This includes design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, security, reporting, and training. Duties also include ensuring data integrity and designing reports to create and drive operational efficiencies. This position will achieve success as a strategic partner to internal and external stakeholders by maintaining and enhancing the Payroll and Workday system, identifying process efficiencies, troubleshooting system issues, preserving data integrity, and complying with security expectations.
Ideal candidate would be onsite in Oklahoma City. Remote considerations may be considered depending upon experience.
Essential Responsibilities:
Functional Workday payroll and timecard systems expert including supporting configuration, business process optimization, testing, reporting, and post go live support.
Partners with Payroll and HR in supporting their initiatives by identifying business requirements, process review and configuration, project management, design, testing, training, documentation development, and communication.
Creates, troubleshoots, and maintains documentation pertaining to Workday security, organizational structures, business processes, tasks, notifications, configurations, integrations, business processes, and security.
Reviews and audits data on a regular basis to ensure integrity in systems, processing, compliance and reporting. Assists in the development and maintenance of training materials, in collaboration with other work streams, to lead training efforts.
Design and configuration of Workday modules such as, but not limited to, Payroll, Timecards, Absence, Core, Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, Talent Management, etc.
Assists in the maintenance of procedures in support of system changes. Assists in the creation of reports and providing data analysis, data mining, statistical techniques and industry benchmarking to identify organizational trends.
Troubleshoot, research, and support tickets.
Identifies system opportunities and risk through proactive research of current and future industry trends.
Proactively seeks out process improvement opportunities for their business process.
General Responsibilities:
Performs special projects or other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required. A degree in Computer Science, MIS, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources Management, or other related field is preferred.
Experience: Two years of Workday Payroll/Timecard experience inclusive of Project Management required. Prior Payroll, Finance and/or HR experience preferred.
Licensure/Certifications/Registrations Required: Workday Pro certification or ability to obtain certification within one year of being hired required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Basic understanding of Payroll/Timecard processes, process flow and data.
Working knowledge of MS Office Suite; strong MS Excel Skills (Pivot Tables, V-Look Ups, and other complex formulas and functions) preferred.
Strong analytical skills with a methodical approach to problem solving and implementation with attention to detail.
Ability to apply logic and reason to investigate system issues to root cause.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills within all levels of the organization.
Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution Ability to work effectively in a fast-past environment and handle daily planned and unplanned operational activities both independently and in a team environment.
Ability to learn and effectively use new technologies.
