General Description:  Reporting to the VP of Business Development and Innovation, this position provides leadership in supporting the enterprise strategy around OUH’s growth journey through M&A/Affiliation. Position will help own, develop and implement a comprehensive corporate growth strategy focused on supporting the identification and evaluation of potential growth opportunities, assist in the deal funnel, and work with colleagues across the enterprise. This position also provides direction and leadership to team members within the Marketing and Growth office and oversees the recruitment and on-going development of employees within the Business Development and Innovation team.

Essential Responsibilities: Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position.  Inability to perform these responsibilities with or without an accommodation may result in disqualification from the position. 

  • Transaction Support: Assist in all stages of the M&A/Affiliation process, including target identification, financial modeling, due diligence, and negotiation, as applicable.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Conduct comprehensive industry, market, and financial analysis to identify new business opportunities and assess potential acquisition targets.
  • Financial Modeling & Valuation: Build and maintain complex financial models to evaluate the impact of potential deals, including discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, precedent transactions, and comparable company analyses.
  • Due Diligence: Coordinate and manage due diligence processes, collaborating with internal teams (legal, finance, operations) and external advisors to ensure thorough evaluation of target affiliates.
  • Deal Structuring & Negotiation: Support the structuring and negotiation of deal terms and work closely with senior leadership to align on strategic goals and integration plans.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Prepare presentations for senior management and external stakeholders, summarizing findings, recommendations, and strategic fit of target companies.
  • Strategic Planning Support: Provide support planning processes that will impact or lead to future partnership and growth opportunities

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required. MBA preferred.
  • Experience: 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience with experience in strategy consultancy, private equity, corporate development, or M&A. Prior consulting and operational experience is preferred.
  •  License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: CFA preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.

  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Knowledge of M&A/Affiliation process, including due diligence, deal structuring, and integration
