General Description:

Under direction of the Admin Director Compensation, will support the organization’s strategy to attract, motivate, and retain employees through research and data analysis, i.e., employee, external labor market, cost and workforce requirements. Provides tactical and planning compensation support to designated leaders and employees at one or more OU Health facilities. Leads a variety of analytical complex tasks including variance and sensitivity analyses and other activities to support process improvements to maintain and ensure consistent application of OH Health Compensation standards. Conducts compensation activities including market, pay equity analysis, job evaluation, job analysis, and participates in special projects. Supports development and communication of compensation policies, processes, and programs.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provides internal consultation on compensation matters relating to offers, promotions, retention, internal equity, market adjustments, organizational changes and workforce planning.

  • Engages leaders to understand compensation philosophy, plans, and programs and develop reporting tools to support and implement enterprise-wide and location-specific compensation related initiatives.

  • Evaluates and approves jobs and creates and manages job descriptions to ensure FLSA compliance and alignment with the company’s compensation and job structure.

  • Provides compensation consultation to leadership including pay inequities, pay grade structure, market pricing, job evaluation, job analysis, FLSA designation, job leveling, salary administration guidelines, etc.

  • Contributes to the administration of performance and compensation budget planning cycle, including, but not limited to, end-of-year performance evaluation process, merit, planning, employee incentive plan, and annual market review.

  • Compiles or assists with the acquisition of complex data reports, and dashboards, for senior executives and HR staff.

  • Collaborates with HRIS team to identify system improvements and enhancements; recommends and implements solutions, including configuration and acceptance testing.

  • May direct the work of other lower-level professionals or manage process and/or programs.

  • Manage projects from start to finish, translating needs into analysis and design recommendations across topics such as executive compensation, staff compensation, incentive plan design and equity guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree required. Field of study in Human Resources, Finance or Business preferred.

Experience: Minimum of five (5) years’ compensation experience required. Experience in healthcare facility preferred.

Licensure/Certifications/Registrations Required: SHRM-CP, PHR or other HR or compensation related certification required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  

  • Advance level skill in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Workday experience preferred.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Experience with analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.

  • Experience with project management (for example: planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives).

  • Ability to interface and communicate effectively in a clear and concise manner with all levels of employees, managers, vendors, consultants, and legal advisors. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary along with very good facilitation and administrative skills.

  • Ability to work with confidential materials and employee information and always maintain confidentiality.
