Responsible for all aspects of the physical facilities including maintenance, repair, cleaning, and resource management including building and mechanical equipment such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing and other mechanical equipment. Supervise facilities maintenance technician and 3rd party contractors.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Inspect, test, and measure completed work, using devices such as hand tools or gauges to verify conformance to standards or repair requirements.
  • Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment, and provide employee safety training to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules.
  • Interpret specifications, blueprints, or job orders to construct templates and lay out reference points for workers.
  • Monitor employees' work levels and review work performance.
  • Perform skilled repair or maintenance operations, using equipment such as hand or power tools.
  • Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance.
  • Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work.
  • Supervise facilities maintenance technician.
  • Participate in the coordination of projects.
  • Inspect and maintain building systems – coordinate, schedule and perform preventative maintenance on facility equipment.
  • Oversee work performed by 3rd party contractors to include but not limited to, HVAC, electrical, housekeeping, exterminators, landscaping and security.
  • Assist VP Finance, CFO with facility maintenance contracts.
  • Support preparation of the facilities budget.
  • Ensure adequate supplies on hand.
  • Support Purchasing Department as needed.

General Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

Education Requirements

  • Associate’s degree required.
     

Experience Requirements

  • 1 to 3 year’s demonstrated leadership experience required.

License/Certification/Registration Requirements

  • None.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Requirements

  • Strong understanding of various HVAC systems.
  • Dependable, consistent attendance.
  • Great leadership and communication skills.
  • Robust troubleshooting and prioritizing ability.
  • Ability to cooperate in a team effort with others.
  • Aptitude for handling a variety of tasks under moderately stressful situations.
  • Independent and a self-starter.
  • Effective Verbal Communication, including phone etiquette.
