The Director Business Applications & Solutions is responsible for the management and support of a portfolio of applications and technology solutions. This role is accountable and responsible for overseeing the suite of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), third-party vendor applications, and modules that have been deployed within the organization. This Director ensures that the ERP, and other enterprise solutions, and vended applications needed to support the mission, goals and operations of the organization are provided in a timely, accurate, creative, and cost-effective way. Additionally, the position is responsible for overseeing any projects related to the strategic initiatives of the organization. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining the overall service delivery strategy associated with the full suite of healthcare ERP, vended, and cloud-based applications within the organization. Expertise will be needed in the following areas: healthcare operations, budgeting, healthcare application development and maintenance trends, vendor provided cloud-based applications and awareness of regulatory environments.
Essential Responsibilities

Manage the full suite of enterprise applications across the ERP portfolio, including Workday, and other supporting applications.
Provide direction to all resources that support the ERP, vendor provided applications, and cloud-based solutions and applications.
Collaborate with and support the Mgr Business Applications, on the service delivery strategy and resource management of Hyland OnBase.
Resolves barriers and issues surrounding implementations and on-going support of ERP, vendor provided and cloud-based applications.
Develop team members ensuring they can solve problems, think critically, and deliver services within documented SLAs.
Interact closely with the organization’s leadership team to understand enterprise priorities and support needs.
Participate in the ETS governance process and decision-making impacting enterprise priorities and strategies, specifically as it relates to the software needed in support of these priorities and strategies.
Determines Enterprise Business Solutions team resource allocation, structure, policies and practices.
Ensure optimization of the team’s resources through effective resource management.
Collaborate with clinical, revenue cycle, finance, supply chain and business leaders as needed to improve application adoption and benefits.
Participate in the management of enterprise, ERP, and cloud-based application vendor relationships in collaboration with vendor management processes.
Increase efficiencies of the enterprise, ERP, and cloud-based application portfolio.
Provide effective management of and support for enterprise, ERP, and cloud-based software projects, support, and optimization.
Promote a customer-service oriented support organization.
Resolve issues encountered during and post system implementation, working with all levels of personnel both internal and external to the organization.
Evaluate new technologies/software that may provide opportunities for solutions or new applications necessary to accomplish organizational goals, objectives, and strategies.
Establish and promote enterprise, ERP, and Vended and or cloud-based applications’ key performance indicators.
Comply with and promote change management.
IT sponsor accountable and responsible for any Enterprise, ERP, and cloud-based application implementations, as appropriate.
Coordinate with any third-party contractors brought in to implement or support enterprise applications.

Minimum Qualifications
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
Experience Requirements
5 to 7 years of progressive ERP application IT leadership experience in a large, complex, academic health system and progressive responsibility in healthcare information technology or related industry.
Prior experience with Workday preferred.
License/Certification/Registration Requirements
None required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Requirements
Thorough understanding of operational IT (implementation, maintenance optimization resource management, etc.)
ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and healthcare software implementation experience required.
Understanding of Project Management methodology based on project management principles.
Knowledge of process improvement methodologies.
Experience facilitating complex decision making among multiple executive stakeholders with different interests and priorities.
Demonstrated ability to elicit, analyze and communicate business requirements from multiple customers across disparate functions.
Understanding of integrated delivery systems of a large, multi-site academic health system.
Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
Excellent communication with staff, customers, and leadership.
Ability to analyze information, evaluate results to choose the best solutions and solve problems.
Superior judgment, problem solving and cognitive skills.
Superb written and oral communication skills on interpersonal and technical levels.
Demonstrated knowledge and skills in assessing and mitigating risks through risk planning.
Demonstrated experience in business development and/or strategic and tactical planning and execution including marketing, communications and financial planning.
Strong background in Hospital / Healthcare provider environments.
Knowledge of IT Service Management and ITIL key practices and concepts.
Ability to manage internal IT and outsourced vendors to meet service levels.
Exhibits strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to navigate the political landscape of the organization.
Demonstrates executive presence, broad thinking and is articulate across all levels of the enterprise.
Experience leading application product management, project management, and portfolio management.
Understanding of the software development experience, processes, agile practices, tools, and technologies.
Capacity to deliver on deadlines while contributing to various stakeholders, projects and business relationships at once.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team and thrive in ambiguity, remain cool-headed and withstand the tests of a dynamic environment with resilience and resolve.
