General Description
The primary purpose of the respiratory therapy equipment technician is equipment setup, and local supply management under the direction and supervision of a Respiratory Care Professional (RCP). Will assist in
the general cleanliness and neatness of the RT supply areas.
Essential Responsibilities
Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Inability to perform these responsibilities with or without an accommodation may result in disqualification from the position.
Sets up, calibrates, and troubleshoots ventilators and 02 delivery devices. Assists in the cleaning and processing of equipment.
Cleans and processes respiratory equipment intended for multi-patient use as guided by the current hospital infection control policies and standards.
Maintains equipment PAR levels in the respiratory equipment rooms.
Straightens up clean and dirty utility rooms including inside cabinetry.
Assists respiratory therapists with equipment and supply needs.
General Responsibilities
Performs other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma or GED required.

License/Certification/Registration Requirements
None required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Effective communication skills including the ability to read and write.
Effective interpersonal skills required in interactions with patients and parents, visitors, and hospital staff.
Ability to work under general supervision.
Ability to follow instructions.
Ability to learn and follow infection prevention procedures.
